B.D.S: VERY CUTESY, VERY MINDFUL, VERY MUCH A BOYCOTT

The B.D.S. Movement
The B.D.S. movement
is like an energetic wake-up call for everyone who believes in freedom, justice, and standing up to oppressive power! Born from the spirit of nonviolence and fighting back with our dollars. Corporations are running the American government but they would have no money if we weren’t giving it to them. BDS is rooted in solidarity with Palestinian civil rights. It empowers us to be mindful in our everyday choices helping us to remember that as the consumer —WE HAVE THE POWER.

Think of it like yoga for global justice: each boycott, divestment, or sanction is a mindful step toward dismantling systems of oppression, by not giving our money to companies and individuals that support war, apartheid, and weapons manufacturers. With BDS, every dollar spent (or withheld) becomes a vote for change. It’s about staying woke and aiming towards a world where human rights are universal and freedom isn’t just a dream.

For more information, you can visit the BDS website at bdsmovement.net.

Holiday Gift Guide 🎁✨
Spread the love this season with gifts that align with yogic values—no compromises —that means not giving your hard earned money to companies that contribute to apartheid, bombs, and ingredients that poison you and your loved ones (don’t even get me started on the FDA!) but I digress, whether it’s thoughtful purchases from ethical brands, culturally conscious items, or a piece from my own
Hummingbird Hood collection, let’s gift our loved ones sustainably and mindfully while keeping it cutesy. This guide includes choices that support small, BIPOC and woman owned businesses. Lift up brands that don’t hurt the planet! Let’s make every gift count toward a better world! 🌍💖

Love Warrior Boycott Tip: When you’re choosing products or brands, check out companies’ policies on ethics, labor practices, and environmental impact by doing research online or with the apps I’ve provided in the list below. Supporting brands that align with your values—like fair labor, sustainable sourcing and companies that don’t put the money you give them towards war—is a way to match your heart with your wallet. Be the change my friend…

Conscious Consumerism Apps

Use this guide to assist you on your consciousness journey. This short list of apps and websites work as a directory for you to have on your phone on the go for your next grocery store run or online purchase. I’m just sayin’, if you’re gonna be a consumer, why not make it conscious?

  1. Yuka – With Yuka, you can scan the barcode of food or personal care product and it shares information with you on its real health impact. Like a compass guiding you away from hidden additives, this app helps keep your body and mind in sync with natural, nourishing choices that support your wellness journey. They compare American FDA standards to the UK which has stricter rules against poisoning there citizens. The best part is it’s free! But you can pay for the app for extra perks for only $8.00/year! I use this so often I went ahead and paid for it.

  2. No Thanks App – A personal protest right in your pocket, the No Thanks app lets you say goodbye to brands and companies that don’t align with your values. Just type in a brand or product and it tells you if they support war, bombs and all the bad things...

  3. Disoccupied – This one is just like the second one on my list but instead of an app its a website that I personally utilize very often. Focused on businesses that support the horror in Palestinian caused by the America and Israel. It offers alternatives to support small, purposeful enterprises instead of big corporations.

  4. Boycat App – I haven’t used this one yet myself, but it’s the newest homie on the block. Boycat, an app that spotlights brands with ethical issues, so you can dodge harmful practices and embrace alternatives that match your ethics. It’s a tool for mindful action, showing that each choice adds up to big change. Sounds like No Thanks app, but with a cute cat on the front lol
